Quiet and Loud

June 14 , 2024

Hi!  I hope you are enjoying your day wherever you find yourself this week. Today’s heat wave here in Santa Fe is the perfect backdrop for a day of painting for me.   If you missed my last email I showed the amazing arrowheads that one of my collectors sent me, asking if I could incorporate them into a painting. This is a photo of the  beginning steps where I put the first layers down, added the arrowheads on the headdress, and began to put some more paint on.  It’s a process and I’m excited to watch it take shape!

Do you see the lower feathers of the headdress beginning to blend in?  I want it to look like a “quiet” painting from a distance and start to become “louder” and more 3D the closer you get to it.

Just like this painting, I have quiet times in my life and louder times in my life.  I lean toward the quiet, if possible, but I can definitely enjoy the loud times, too!  (As long as they end by 9:00 p.m.)! 😂 😎🤗. How about you?  What type of day or event energizes or drains you?

I’ll keep you posted on this painting when I finish it, but in the meantime stay tuned for first dibs on any new art work, shows, and other goodies! And please pass this on to someone who could use a little “art and living” in their life.

Bye for now!

Lynn
